Job Summary

This role involves managing metering points within Berlin's 36,000-kilometer power grid, supporting its expansion and modernization for 3.7 million customers and a sustainable urban society. The technician will coordinate the setup and commissioning of metering points in low, medium, and high-voltage systems, as well as for renewable energy (EEG/KWK) and e-mobility charging infrastructure. Key responsibilities include implementing technical requirements for metering points, participating in projects, setting up master data in billing systems, mapping metering concepts, analyzing operational processes, and coordinating across departments. The ideal candidate will have an electrical engineering background, knowledge of relevant regulations, strong communication skills, and an analytical mindset. Required Skills

Education

Completed electrical engineering training and further training as a state-certified technician or equivalent qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering
  • Basic knowledge of VDE application rules VDE-AR-N
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations in the electricity market (e.g., EnWG, MsbG, NAV, WiM)
  • Experience with analytical, structured, and conceptual thinking and working methods
