Job Summary
The City Administration of Jüchen is seeking a Civil, Environmental, or Wastewater Engineer to join the Office for Public Infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for the project management of civil engineering measures, including the planning, tendering, and construction supervision of sewer and road construction projects. You will act as the city's representative for construction projects, manage budgets, and present project status to political committees. A key focus involves maintenance management and assessing the hydraulic capacity of municipal water bodies, particularly regarding heavy rain events. This part-time position (19.5 hours/week) offers a unique opportunity to shape the local infrastructure of a growing community. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Wastewater Engineering (Diploma or Bachelor's degree from a University or University of Applied Sciences), preferably with a focus on urban water management.
Experience
- Professional experience in planning, tendering, and construction management of sewer and road construction projects
- Practical experience applying VOB and HOAI regulations
- Experience in budget planning and financial alignment for public projects
- Experience in hydraulic performance assessment or flood management is preferred
- Experience in representing a client or municipality as a construction owner
