Job Summary

This role involves the administration and maintenance of specialized IT infrastructure for a global leader in flight and land simulation technology. Based in Hammelburg, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and proactive monitoring of network security. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing complex technical issues, performing system updates and backups, and providing essential support and training to staff members. The position is particularly unique as it involves working with advanced military simulation applications and networked systems. CAE offers an attractive 35-hour work week under the Metal Industry collective agreement, 30 days of vacation, and a flexible working model. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in an IT profession or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT infrastructure administration and maintenance
  • Experience in network technology and operating systems (Windows and Linux)
  • Practical experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Preferred experience as a former S6 IT Sergeant (Feldwebel) within a military context
  • Proven track record in troubleshooting, system diagnostics, and implementing security measures
