Job Summary
This role involves working for a prestigious German shipyard in Hamburg, specializing in naval shipbuilding. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the conceptual development and selection of complex electrical systems, including on-board power grids, switchgear, cabling, and lighting systems for naval vessels. Your daily tasks will include creating technical specifications, managing supplier negotiations, and overseeing the integration of systems on board. You will also maintain construction and testing documentation while supporting manufacturing implementation. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Building Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in electrical design for large-scale projects
- Experience with switchgear, cabling, or lighting systems, ideally within the naval shipbuilding sector
- Experience in creating technical documentation and managing supplier performance
- Experience in coordinating with internal and external interfaces for system integration

- Willingness to travel (approximately 5%) is required. Candidates must be able to work in a structured and independent manner within a team environment.
