Job Summary
As the Research Academy Coordinator for the 'Color meets Flavor' Excellence Cluster, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape for next-generation particle physicists. Operating across four major research sites including the University of Siegen, University of Bonn, TU Dortmund, and Forschungszentrum Jülich, you will oversee the strategic coordination of Master’s and PhD study programs. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing internship programs, developing a fast-track PhD track, and coordinating international fellowships at CERN. You will also serve as a key advisor for students and postdocs, managing mentoring initiatives and soft-skill training. This position is ideal for a proactive academic professional who enjoys high levels of creative freedom and organizational responsibility. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Physics and a successfully completed Doctorate (PhD), preferably in theoretical or experimental particle physics.
Experience
- Professional experience in university structures and academic culture
- Proven experience in organizational and conceptual project work
- Experience in coordinating cross-institutional academic programs
- Background in theoretical or experimental particle physics preferred
- Experience in mentoring or student counseling
