Job Summary

This full-time role involves the comprehensive technical management and maintenance of a large educational complex in Steinhagen, including primary and secondary schools, a gymnasium, and sports centers. As a Facility Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, order, and safety of all buildings and grounds. Your daily tasks include operating complex building systems such as heating, lighting, and ventilation, as well as managing stage technology for events. You will act as a vital point of contact for school administrations, teachers, and external contractors. The position is unique for its collaborative environment, operating in a shift system with a dedicated team, and offers the stability of a permanent public service contract (TVöD). It is an ideal role for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys a mix of technical hands-on work, administrative coordination, and community interaction within an educational setting.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Carpenter, Metalworker, Electronics Technician for Building Technology, or Plant Mechanic for Sanitary, Heating, and Air Conditioning technology.

Experience

  • Completed vocational training in a relevant trade (Carpentry, Metalworking, Electronics for Building Technology, or HVAC Mechanics)
  • Several years of professional experience in a relevant technical field is preferred
  • Experience in coordinating external service providers and cleaning staff
  • Professional experience in maintaining safety and order in public or large-scale facilities
