Job Summary

This role centers on the development of highly complex antenna systems for satellite communications and aerospace applications, ranging from system design to high-frequency (HF) design and global commissioning. Based in Mainz, you will work within an interdisciplinary team to create reflector antenna systems operating at frequencies exceeding 100 GHz. Your daily responsibilities include creating technical specifications, simulating and building complex transmit/receive chains using coaxial and waveguide technology, and collaborating with international partners for component selection. A unique aspect of this position is the opportunity to travel worldwide to perform subsystem and system-level testing and acceptance at international sites. Working with a leading provider of European space solutions, you will bridge the gap between theoretical design and hands-on implementation for deep-space missions and satellite communications.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or High-Frequency Technology.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in high-frequency engineering or related fields is advantageous
  • Experience in high-frequency measurement technology and waveguide technology preferred
  • Experience using simulation environments for high-frequency systems
  • Practical experience in creating system specifications and technical plant documentation
  • Experience in global commissioning and conducting system-level tests
