Job Summary
As an SAP Administration Architect, you will play a pivotal role in steering the external outsourcing partner responsible for the ongoing operation of the company's SAP landscape. Based in Berlin or working up to 100% remote, you will be the primary interface for planning and coordinating daily operations and projects. Your responsibilities include monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the entire ALBA SAP system architecture (ERP, BW, and Cloud) along with associated systems like Neptune and document archives. You will oversee critical technical tasks such as upgrades, release changes, patch management, and system tuning in collaboration with internal and external teams. Furthermore, you will drive strategic topics including SAP security, system hardening, and backup/recovery strategies while serving as the expert contact for license audits. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys vendor management and technical oversight within a sustainable, crisis-proof environment dedicated to environmental services.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the SAP Basis environment
- Practical experience with database, network, and server technologies
- Experience in steering external service providers and outsourcing partners
- Experience in coordinating SAP upgrades, release changes, and patch management
- Experience in process-oriented thinking and managing complex technical projects
