Job Summary

As an Electrical Design Engineer at enertech GmbH, you will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and design of electrical systems for power plants, substations, and energy distribution facilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities include creating basic circuit diagrams, specifying and calculating transformers and switchgear across all voltage levels, and performing short-circuit and load flow calculations. You will develop electrical protection concepts, dimension cables, and design lightning protection and grounding systems. The role involves managing the entire lifecycle of plant components from initial basic planning through to commissioning, including cost calculation and documentation management. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification (e.g., technical training with relevant further education and experience).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering design for power plants or substations
  • Experience in the specification and dimensioning of electrical components and switchgear
  • Proven track record in interdisciplinary cooperation and interface management
  • Experience in project documentation and schedule management
  • Experience in commissioning and technical support of plant components
