Job Summary
As an Acoustic Frontend Developer at EvoLogics, you will be at the forefront of maritime and offshore technology development in Berlin. Your daily responsibilities will involve creating sophisticated Single Page Applications using TypeScript and developing native Android applications with Kotlin for use by divers and boat crews. You will tackle complex technical challenges such as implementing offline-first architectures for remote sea areas and visualizing real-time sonar and signal data using WebGL or Canvas. A significant part of the role involves connecting frontend applications to hardware via Bluetooth, WebSockets, and Serial interfaces to control underwater sensors and modems. This position is unique because it combines high-tech robotics with mission-critical UI/UX design tailored for harsh environments, such as low visibility or glove-operated interfaces. You will work in a highly specialized, international team contributing to global leadership in marine research and maritime security.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Mobile Computing, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional practice.
Experience
- 3-5 years in frontend development
- Professional experience with map materials and GIS components
- Expert-level experience with modern web frameworks and TypeScript
- Profound experience in native Android development with Kotlin and Android SDK
- Experience in real-time data visualization using libraries like D3.js or Three.js
- Experience in hardware communication via local interfaces
