Job Summary

As a Project Lead for Offshore Equipment, you will take charge of the technical design, specification, and integration of critical offshore components including helidecks, thermal and acoustic insulation, and material-handling systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that all designs meet strict industry standards and classification requirements, such as SOLAS and DNV. Your day-to-day activities will involve reviewing 3D models and technical drawings, coordinating complex interfaces, and managing supplier relationships from the initial request for quotation through to Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT). This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-stakes offshore projects within a global engineering leader, Akkodis. You will bridge the gap between technical engineering and project management, ensuring quality assurance and compliance with international authorities. The position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys a mix of technical oversight, supplier management, and regulatory coordination in a dynamic maritime environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Shipbuilding/Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Profound professional experience in topsides/offshore equipment or maritime plant planning
  • Extensive experience working with relevant regulations such as DNV/NORSOK, SOLAS/MODU, and ATEX/IECEx
  • Practical experience with Passive Fire Protection (PFP) and insulation standards (e.g., A60/H60, Jet-Fire)
  • Proven track record in managing technical components like fire/blast/weather-tight doors, windows, and hatches
  • Experience in supplier management including RFQs, technical comparisons, and document review
