Job Summary

This role involves the end-to-end development of a SIGINT system prototype designed for the passive localization of RF sources. Working within the aerospace and defense sector, the successful candidate will initially implement this system on a single drone before scaling to a multi-drone swarm configuration. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and developing Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems, focusing on data acquisition, synchronization, and localization fusion logic. The position is highly practical, requiring regular field tests, telemetry management, and the optimization of test processes through data analysis and error diagnosis. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge drone integration and signal intelligence technology for a prestigious aerospace client. The role offers an attractive salary, up to 30 days of vacation, and specialized training within a high-tech environment in the Munich area.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in High-Frequency Engineering, Signal Processing, Computer Science, Radio Engineering, Information Technology, Communication Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in RF technology and SDR systems
  • Advanced experience in signal processing and antenna arrays
  • Practical experience with multi-antenna systems and direction estimation
  • Proven track record in FPGA/SDR platform development and data recording
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry is preferred
