Job Summary
As an Electrical Engineering Technician for a regional water and wastewater utility in West Saxony, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable supply of drinking water to approximately 200,000 residents. Your daily responsibilities involve the monitoring and management of complex data networks, process control systems (PLS), and IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and remote control systems, while also providing essential technical support for network technology. A key focus of the role is maintaining IT security within the process control infrastructure and developing modern network concepts. This position offers a secure, permanent contract under the TVöD-VKA public service collective agreement, featuring 30 days of vacation, employer-funded pension schemes, and comprehensive health management. It is an ideal role for a technical professional looking to apply automation expertise to critical public infrastructure.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technician training in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Automation Technology, or an equivalent vocational qualification/technical degree.
Experience
- Professional experience in automation and network technology
- Experience in programming and troubleshooting process control and remote control systems
- Experience in monitoring and maintaining IT infrastructure within a technical environment
- Experience in network concept development and implementation
