Job Summary

As an Environmental Protection Management Specialist for DB InfraGO AG, you will play a critical role in advising leadership and staff on corporate environmental responsibilities within the Stuttgart and Ulm networks. Your day-to-day activities involve overseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System, focusing on soil and water protection, noise control, waste management, and biodiversity. You will conduct site inspections of facilities and construction projects to ensure regulatory compliance and provide expert statements on environmental issues during maintenance planning and procurement. This role is unique for its blend of strategic advisory and hands-on field monitoring within Germany's largest infrastructure provider. It offers a high degree of responsibility, requiring collaboration with public authorities and stakeholders to ensure sustainable infrastructure development for future generations. The position is based in Stuttgart and offers a hybrid work model with significant regional travel.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Environmental Protection, Nature Conservation, Geology, Forestry, Environmental Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in environmental protection, nature conservation, or environmental engineering
  • Experience in advising management and staff on corporate environmental obligations
  • Proven track record in conducting environmental site inspections and audits
  • Experience in drafting technical statements for planning and procurement processes
  • Experience in communicating with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
