Job Summary

As a Power Supply Systems Technician at Stromnetz Berlin, you will play a critical role in maintaining and modernizing Berlin's 36,000-kilometer power grid. Working within the Medium Voltage Switchgear department, your daily responsibilities will focus on the technical oversight of battery and rectifier systems within substations to ensure self-sufficient power supply. You will formulate technical specifications for commissioning, analyze system malfunctions, and develop recommendations for corrective measures. Beyond technical analysis, you will serve as a sub-project manager for renovation and new construction projects, coordinating with other departments and overseeing external contractors. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the energy transition in a major metropolitan area. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a State-Certified Technician or Master Craftsperson (Meister) in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation and maintenance of batteries and rectifiers within high-voltage networks
  • Experience in formulating technical specifications and commissioning procedures for electrical systems
  • Experience in analyzing technical faults and developing mitigation strategies
  • Experience in sub-project management for construction or renovation projects
  • Experience in supervising external contractors and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
