Job Summary

As a Safety Engineer at Brunel, you will be responsible for the comprehensive implementation and monitoring of occupational safety measures across production facilities and buildings. Your daily activities will include conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and investigating workplace accidents to prevent future incidents. You will play a pivotal role in designing ergonomic and safe workflows while ensuring full compliance with legal safety regulations and accident prevention standards. Beyond technical oversight, you will act as a key interface between the local site and the corporate HSE organization, which includes conducting EHS training sessions for employees and management. A unique aspect of this role is the responsibility for emergency management, including participation in a weekly on-call emergency response rotation. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical degree (Engineering) or technical vocational training with further qualification as a Technician or Master Craftsman; Qualification as an Occupational Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) or willingness to obtain it promptly.

Experience

  • Professional experience in occupational safety within a production environment is preferred
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and hazard evaluations
  • Experience in planning and executing EHS training for staff and management
  • Experience in emergency management and on-call response coordination
