Job Summary
This role at the Office of Statistics Berlin-Brandenburg (AfS) involves the technical preparation, execution, and follow-up of elections and referendums in the Berlin and Brandenburg regions. As a central point of contact, you will be responsible for the administration and further development of internal election databases, including master data maintenance and the processing of real-time election data. Your daily tasks will include testing database functionalities, developing import/export interface tools (XML, CSV), and creating scripts to facilitate communication between specialized IT procedures and the election database. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or FH-Diploma) in Computer Science or a related field; alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration with extensive professional experience and specialized further training.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT systems administration and the implementation of complex IT procedures
- Extensive experience in database administration and master data maintenance
- Proven track record in developing scripts and interface tools for data communication
- Practical experience in software testing, documentation, and quality assurance
- Long-term practical experience is required if applying with a vocational qualification rather than a degree
