Job Summary
This is a permanent, full-time position within the City of Leer's City Marketing and Tourism department. The successful candidate will manage and develop local tourism infrastructure, including motorhome sites, signage, and tourism facilities. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the conceptual planning and execution of tourism trade fairs, independent organization of events such as the 'Lekkermarkt', and administrative duties like committee support and protocol management. A significant portion of the role focuses on financial administration, specifically managing grant applications, monitoring funding programs, and processing subsidies for local events and institutions. Additionally, the role serves as the Fair Trade Officer and oversees corporate design implementation. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Management Assistant in Public Administration (Verwaltungsfachangestellte/r), I. Angestelltenprüfung, qualification for the General Services career path (mid-level), or a degree/qualification as a Tourism and Leisure Manager, State-certified Business Manager specializing in Tourism, or Tourism Specialist (Tourismuxfachwirt/in).
Experience
- Professional experience in the tourism sector is highly desirable
- Experience working within a municipal or public administration environment
- Demonstrated experience in event management and infrastructure maintenance
- Experience in handling grant applications and financial monitoring
- Proven ability to work independently and manage organizational tasks
