Job Summary
This role is a temporary maternity leave cover for a period of 6 to 12 months, focusing on the critical oversight of microbiological safety in a medical device production environment. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating environmental monitoring within cleanrooms and water systems, ensuring that all microbiological loads are monitored and product sterility is maintained. Working closely with external laboratories, you will conduct risk assessments, manage sterilization processes (specifically radiation sterilization), and handle Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for any out-of-specification incidents. This position offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to drive process improvement projects and lead internal training on cleanroom behavior. It is an ideal opportunity for a quality-focused professional to manage high-standard compliance and validation projects within a regulated medical or pharmaceutical setting.
Required Skills
Education
Completed Diploma or Master's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in microbiological monitoring within manufacturing, quality control, or development.
- Professional experience working in cleanroom environments.
- Experience in the sterilization of medical devices or pharmaceuticals (preferably radiation sterilization).
- Professional experience in germ identification, germ count determination, and method validation.
