Job Summary

As a Hardware Engineer at Brunel, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle development of complex hardware products featuring both analog and digital components. Your daily activities will include circuit development, PCB design using Altium Designer, and the continuous optimization of existing hardware solutions. You will be hands-on with the commissioning of products and work closely with internal development teams and international clients. A key technical focus of this role involves implementing and securing FPGA functionality using VHDL. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys cross-industry variety, as Brunel offers projects ranging from medium-sized enterprises to DAX-listed corporations across sectors like aerospace, automotive, and rail. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university or technical college degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in circuit development and layout of complex hardware products
  • Experience in PCB design using Altium Designer
  • Practical experience in FPGA functionality implementation and testing with VHDL
  • Professional background in analog and digital technology
  • Experience in programming within a C environment
