Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position within the District Administration of Südliche Weinstraße involves managing the financial health and regulatory compliance of the district. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial controlling, including data preparation and reporting, as well as the comprehensive preparation of the district budget and annual financial statements. A significant portion of the role involves tax management, specifically implementing Tax Compliance Management Systems (TCMS) and handling VAT matters for public legal entities. Additionally, the role serves as a deputy to the Head of Finance and Participations. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Public Administration (Bachelor), Business Administration (Bachelor), or equivalent qualifications such as Verwaltungsfachwirt (AII), Bankfachwirt, Steuerfachwirt, or Wirtschaftsfachwirt. Also accepts candidates with specific civil service career exams (2nd or 3rd entry level).
Experience
- Professional experience in public administration or financial management
- Experience in municipal budgeting and accounting (Doppik)
- Proven track record in financial controlling and reporting
- Experience in tax law or tax compliance for public entities
- Experience in handling official financial statistics and annual statements

- Must be eligible for German public service pay scales (TVöD E11 or Besoldungsgruppe A12). Location: Landau, Germany. Willingness to undergo further qualification for the A12 status office if not already held.
