Job Summary

As the Head of Facility Management at Xella, you will lead the technical department and manage the on-site caretaker team to ensure seamless building operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve steering, documenting, and controlling maintenance and repair measures, as well as operating critical technical systems including sanitary, fire alarm, burglary detection, and access control systems. You will act as the primary point of contact for external service providers, coordinating their deployment and conducting quality control for their work. Beyond technical oversight, you will handle administrative tasks such as processing deficiency reports, performing minor repairs yourself, and verifying incoming invoices within SAP. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who enjoys a 'hands-on' approach and wants to work for an international leader in construction and insulation materials. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed technical vocational training in a relevant field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in technical facility management or a relevant field
  • Leadership experience in managing technical teams or caretakers
  • Experience in commercial tasks including invoice verification and order acceptance
  • Proven track record in coordinating and supervising external service providers
  • Practical experience in performing minor technical repairs
