Job Summary

This role focuses on identifying security weaknesses and conducting deep technical investigations within a sophisticated IT environment. On a daily basis, you will perform firmware analysis and execute dynamic testing methods such as fuzzing and sandboxing. You are responsible for developing testing concepts and advancing the tool landscape for both software and hardware analysis. Beyond proactive research, you will support the Security Operations Center (SOC) with real-time forensic investigations. A critical component of this position involves managing the 'Responsible Disclosure' process, which requires close coordination with internal legal departments, external CERTs, and suppliers. This position is ideal for technical experts who enjoy reverse engineering and binary analysis. It offers a unique opportunity to shape security processes and software release standards within a professional framework that values both technical depth and cross-departmental collaboration.

Required Skills

Education

University degree with a focus on Information Technology or a comparable vocational qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in vulnerability research, backdoor detection, and malware analysis
  • Professional experience using debuggers, disassemblers, sandboxes, and binary analysis tools
  • Experience in developing testing concepts and security tool landscapes
  • Preferred experience in classified IT (VS-IT) or security clearance environments
  • Preferred background in government agencies, military, police, or intelligence services
