Job Summary

This role focuses on the complex physical and mathematical modeling of target objects, environments, atmospheres, and seeker heads, with a specific emphasis on the infrared spectrum. As a key member of a highly qualified technical team, you will be responsible for the validation of these models and their corresponding software through analytical comparisons and empirical measurement data. Your day-to-day work involves the software-based implementation of algorithms and models for integration into simulation chains, as well as the development of application-specific simulation software. This position is particularly attractive for high-achieving academics who enjoy bridging the gap between theoretical physics and practical software engineering within complex technical systems. The opportunity to work with modern programming languages like Rust or C++ in a Linux environment on sophisticated sensor technology makes this a unique challenge for analytical thinkers.
