Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Cryo- and Stress Biology working group, which is crucial for the Federal Central Ex-situ Gene Bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for the in-vitro preservation and propagation of clonal plant species, as well as cryopreservation of Allium species and potatoes. Key duties include setting up and conducting experiments related to cryo, in-vitro, pollen, and seed storage, and meticulously documenting results using laboratory management systems (LIMS, GBIS). The ideal candidate will have a background in biological laboratory work, solid knowledge of molecular biological analyses, and experience with sterile working techniques and in-vitro cultures. Strong PC skills and good English language proficiency are also required. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological Laboratory Assistant, Biological Technical Assistant, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in biological laboratory work or as a biological technical assistant
  • Professional experience with molecular biological analyses and techniques
  • Experience with sterile working and in-vitro cultures (advantageous)
