Job Summary
As a Quality and Materials Tester at Barth Galvanik GmbH, you will join a leading specialist in surface coating and heat treatment with over 45 years of industry tradition. Your daily responsibilities involve conducting non-destructive material testing, specifically hardness testing, and performing measurements of coating thickness and material properties throughout the production process. You will be responsible for creating and evaluating microsections, archiving test samples, and maintaining the image database. A critical part of the role includes documenting test results, maintaining testing equipment, and granting clearances for delivery or further processing. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Materials Tester (Werkstoffprüfer) or a comparable professional qualification relevant to the field.
Experience
- Professional experience in production-related quality assurance or materials testing
- Experience in handling tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment for sample preparation
- Ideally several years of experience as a materials tester or within a quality assurance department in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with laboratory activities and documentation of test results
