Job Summary

The State Office for Refugee Affairs (LAF) in Berlin is seeking a strategic leader to head the Central Services Department. In this high-impact role, you will oversee critical administrative functions including Legal Affairs, Procurement, Human Resources, Infrastructure, and Finance & Controlling. Your daily responsibilities will involve strategic management of departmental goals, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and leading a diverse workforce of approximately 600 employees. You will be responsible for setting quality standards, managing financial planning, and optimizing business processes to support the social welfare and housing of asylum seekers in Berlin. Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • Long-term relevant professional experience in senior positions within public administration
  • Several years of experience in leading medium to large-sized personnel groups
  • Experience in the effective and efficient management of service providers
  • Experience in strategic responsibility for fundamental administrative issues
