Job Summary
As the Deputy Head of Finance for the Samtgemeinde Hollenstedt, you will play a pivotal role in managing the municipal double-entry accounting (Doppik) system for seven member municipalities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing budgetary affairs, business accounting, and the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with NKomVG. You will also manage asset accounting, cost-performance calculation, and controlling, while ensuring compliance with VAT regulations under § 2b UStG. This position is ideal for a finance professional with a background in public administration who is looking for a leadership-track role. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Public Management (Verwaltungsbetriebswirtschaft), completion of the Administrative Training Course II (Angestelltenlehrgang II), or qualification as a Certified Municipal Management Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter kommunal).
Experience
- Professional experience in public finance and municipal accounting systems.
- Experience in the preparation of annual financial statements and asset management.
- Proven experience in tax law, specifically regarding VAT for public entities.
- Experience in cost-benefit calculations and financial controlling.
- Experience in public administration processes and committee work.
