Job Summary

As a Process Analysis Engineer for a leading client in the chemical industry, you will serve as a functional expert responsible for the availability, strategic development, and optimization of process analysis systems. Your daily activities will include the maintenance and troubleshooting of process chromatographs, performing quality control tests, and re-applying existing gas chromatographs. You will play a pivotal role in investment projects, from scope creation and system selection to commissioning and staff training. This position is highly collaborative, requiring close coordination with production, process engineering, and external service providers to solve complex plant issues using Root Cause Analysis (RCA). The role is unique for its blend of hands-on technical maintenance and high-level project planning within a petro-chemical environment. You will also manage system updates, data backup strategies, and preventive maintenance plans, ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability in a matrix organization.

Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician, Master Craftsman (Meister), or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology; Qualified Electrician according to VDE-0105-100.

Experience

  • 5 years in the maintenance of (petro-) chemical industrial plants, specifically those subject to hazardous incident regulations
  • Professional experience in planning and implementing reliability and integrity measures
  • Professional experience in deriving safety requirements from risk assessments
  • Extensive experience with gas chromatographs and analytical equipment in a petrochemical context
  • Experience working within an international matrix organization
