Job Summary

This position at the European University Viadrina involves supporting the career development and administrative management of high-level researchers (R3 and R4 levels). You will be responsible for designing and implementing needs assessments, developing recruitment strategies, and creating onboarding concepts specifically tailored for international researchers. A key part of the role includes participating in national and European certification processes for academic personnel development and providing administrative support for tenure track evaluation procedures. This part-time (20 hours/week) position offers a unique opportunity to shape the academic landscape within a highly international and interdisciplinary university environment located on the German-Polish border. It is ideal for professionals who enjoy project management and strategic HR development within a scientific context, offering a two-year fixed-term contract with compensation according to the TV-L E11 collective agreement.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree (e.g., Bachelor), preferably in a social science subject.

Experience

  • Professional experience in project management, specifically regarding European or national certification and competition procedures in science-related fields
  • Experience in social science methodology, particularly in creating and analyzing surveys
  • Demonstrated understanding of the career development needs of international R3 (Tenure Track) and R4 (Permanent) researchers
  • Experience in administrative support and evaluation procedures within an academic or research environment
