Job Summary

The Administrative Community of Scheinfeld is seeking a full-time Administrative Director to lead the executive operations for six member municipalities serving approximately 12,300 residents. In this high-level leadership role, you will act as a strategic advisor to the mayors and the chairperson, overseeing administrative organization, human resources, and municipal legal affairs. Your daily responsibilities will involve drafting local statutes, managing urban land-use planning, and handling contractual matters. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in public administration or law who enjoys a mix of legal oversight and operational management. The role is particularly attractive due to its high degree of creative freedom, the opportunity for home office flexibility, and a clear career progression path up to the A 13 / EG 12 pay grades. Required Skills

Education

Qualification for the 3rd qualification level of the Administrative and Finance career path (non-technical service), or successful completion of the Administrative Specialist (BL II) course, or equivalent (e.g., Bachelor of Public Administration, Diploma in Law with a focus on Public Law).

Experience

  • Professional experience in municipal administration with relevant specialist knowledge
  • Leadership experience in a public sector or administrative environment is preferred
  • Experience in handling legal matters, specifically statutes and local law
  • Proven track record in organizational development and personnel management
