Job Summary

This role involves performing high-precision geometric measurements on production systems, aircraft structures, and components for a major aerospace leader in Hamburg. As a Metrology Technician, you will be responsible for the entire measurement process, from selecting appropriate strategies and preparing 3D-CAD models to operating advanced coordinate measuring machines (CMM), laser systems, and scanners. You will program measurement sequences, analyze data, and visualize results to identify root causes of errors and implement corrective actions. This position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy working at the intersection of engineering and quality management. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics; or advanced training as a Certified Technician/Master Craftsman with a focus on Surveying Technology, Geomatics, or Metrology.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in surveying or metrology
  • Professional experience in engineering, production/manufacturing, and quality management
  • Practical experience operating coordinate measuring machines, laser systems, and scanning systems
  • Experience in identifying error causes and implementing corrective measures
