Job Summary
As a Metrology Coordinator in the aerospace sector, you will be responsible for the organization and execution of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) measurements. Your daily activities will involve planning and controlling measurement orders, selecting appropriate tactile, optical, or multi-sensor strategies, and programming CMM routines using Hexagon PC-DMIS and PolyWorks. You will work closely with the Quality and Development departments to analyze measurement results, interpret complex tolerances, and create detailed test reports. Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training (e.g., Industrial Mechanic, Metrology Technician, or Aircraft Mechanic) plus further qualification as a Technician or Master Craftsman (Meister).
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the field of metrology, ideally within the aerospace industry
- Proven experience in 3D coordinate measurement technology and measurement programming
- Extensive experience in handling CAD data for measurement planning
- Professional background in organizing and controlling measurement workflows
