Job Summary
This role involves working in a highly automated laboratory environment at the Medical Laboratory Rostock, a leading diagnostic facility. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of state-of-the-art analytical equipment across clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, hematology, and coagulation diagnostics. Your daily tasks include preparing and assessing samples, performing technical validation of results, and conducting rigorous quality control measures in accordance with RILIBÄK standards. You will also participate in the implementation of new testing methods and specialized automated analytics such as HPLC and capillary zone electrophoresis. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Medical Technologist for Laboratory Analytics (formerly MTA/MTLA), Biological-Technical Assistant (BTA), Laboratory Assistant, or a Bachelor/Master's degree in Natural Sciences or Bioscience.
Experience
- Professional experience in laboratory diagnostics or medical laboratory analytics
- Experience in operating and monitoring automated laboratory equipment
- Experience in performing quality control and technical validation of analytical results
- Experience working within a structured quality management system
- Experience in specialized analytics such as HPLC or electrophoresis is preferred
