Job Summary

This leadership position within the Main Office of the City of Mainz involves overseeing the municipal digitalization project portfolio. As the Head of the Digitalization Project Office, you will be responsible for the strategic steering and coordination of all urban digital initiatives while establishing and refining mandatory project management standards across the organization. The role requires a blend of administrative expertise and technical foresight to drive the city's digital transformation. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Public Management, Personnel and Organizational Development, Economics, Project Management, or equivalent; or qualification for the A 13 civil service grade (Administration and Finance), or completed Administrative Training II (Verwaltungslehrgang II).

Experience

  • Professional experience within the public sector (Öffentlicher Dienst) is required
  • Leadership experience is desirable
  • Practical knowledge in digitalization and project management is desirable
  • Experience in conceptual thinking and developing organizational standards
