Job Summary

As a Biologist and Laboratory Coordinator at TESIUM, a subsidiary of Symrise, you will take professional responsibility for the biodegradation laboratory. Your day-to-day role involves coordinating all laboratory tasks, planning sample batches, and ensuring the timely execution of biological degradation studies. You will perform degradation tests, support the introduction of new testing methods, and maintain rigorous quality assurance standards, including the creation of study reports and SOPs. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Biology (ideally with a focus on Microbiology) or a comparable field; alternatively, long-term professional experience as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) in contract laboratories.

Experience

  • Professional experience in biological degradation testing according to OECD 301 standards
  • Experience in a coordination or leadership function within a laboratory setting is preferred
  • Practical experience working in accredited environments (ISO 17025) or GLP systems
  • Proven track record in laboratory organization and process optimization
  • Extensive experience in hands-on laboratory work and study reporting
