Job Summary
As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for the on-site repair, maintenance, and installation of complex electro-mechanical systems within a high-tech semiconductor environment. Your daily activities involve analytical troubleshooting to the component level, performing equipment relocations, and executing field modifications based on engineering change notifications. You will play a critical role in minimizing system downtime and ensuring equipment reliability at customer sites. Beyond technical execution, the role involves managing small-scale projects and coaching junior colleagues. The role offers a flexible 38.5-hour work week with a structured flexitime model and competitive compensation under the Austrian collective agreement, including 14 monthly salary payments per year.
Required Skills
Education
Technical education in electronics, engineering, or a related field (HTL/Bachelor's degree equivalent).
Experience
- 10+ years of total professional work experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry
- Professional experience in repairing and maintaining complex electro-mechanical systems
- Experience working from electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams
- Experience in project planning and execution
- Experience coaching or mentoring junior technical staff

Additional
- International travel requirement of approximately 80%, including trips to Asia and the USA; Physical ability to work for prolonged periods in various positions (bending, stooping, standing); Adherence to strict customer site safety and behavior policies.
