Job Summary

This leadership role involves overseeing the Electrical Engineering division within the Building Construction Office for the City of Trier. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and management of electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of over 270 municipal buildings, including schools, cultural centers, and administrative offices. Day-to-day, you will lead a team of professionals, manage large-scale project lifecycles from design to handover, and handle procurement processes for external planning firms and contractors. The position requires a strong technical background in building services and the ability to represent project interests to municipal committees. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Building Technology, or a comparable field; or completed career examination for the third entry level in the technical administrative service.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the planning, execution, and renovation of construction projects
  • Experience in project management and controlling of technical building equipment
  • Leadership experience in coordinating teams and external service providers
  • Experience in public or private construction law and contract management preferred
  • Experience in negotiation and organizational management preferred
