Job Summary

As a High Voltage Plant Technology Technician at Hamburger Energienetze, you will play a critical role in securing Hamburg's energy supply. Your daily responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and implementing project measures for high-voltage plant infrastructure. You will act as a central technical liaison between planning and execution departments, ensuring efficient collaboration and the development of economically viable concepts for new construction and renovation projects. A key part of the role involves managing external service providers, from initial commissioning to final acceptance. You will also perform complex fault and damage analyses, recommend maintenance measures based on technical findings, and develop internal safety guidelines in accordance with DIN VDE and DGUV standards. This position is unique for its high level of autonomy and the opportunity to participate in on-call duty as an operational lead in primary technology, all within a newly merged, future-proof energy utility company.

Required Skills

Education

Completed advanced vocational training as a Master Craftsman (Meister) or State-Certified Technician (Techniker) specializing in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in electrical plant technology or high-voltage systems
  • Proven practical knowledge in the operation and maintenance of distribution networks
  • Experience in coordinating external contractors and service providers
  • Professional experience in developing technical concepts and operational instructions
  • Experience in leading technical projects and managing stakeholder negotiations
