Job Summary
This role involves joining the Mayor's staff within the Economic Development team for the city of Barsinghausen. As a City Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing measures and events to increase the attractiveness and vitality of the city center. Key tasks include managing funded projects from state, federal, and EU programs, organizing the local Christmas village, and developing marketing campaigns across social media and traditional print. You will also act as a central point of contact for local stakeholders, supporting business owners through vacancy management and networking initiatives. The position is unique for its high level of independence and the opportunity to directly shape urban development and cultural life. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Administrative Sciences, Economics, Marketing, Communication, Real Estate, or Geography; or completion of the Administrative Specialist course (Angestelltenlehrgang II); or vocational training in Event Management, Tourism, Media Design, or Advertising.
Experience
- Professional experience in event organization, tourism, communication, or public administration
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience if applying with a vocational qualification
- Experience in conceptualizing and implementing urban development measures and events
- Experience in managing funding applications and project accounting
- Proven track record in marketing and social media management
