Job Summary
The City of Dachau is seeking a Head of Tax Department to lead its finance and tax division within the city treasury. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of five employees and manage the city's dual role as both a tax creditor and a tax debtor. Your daily responsibilities include handling property taxes, dog taxes, and corporate tax obligations such as VAT, corporate income, and trade taxes. Additionally, you will be responsible for non-profit law matters, including donations and sponsorships. Required Skills
Education
Qualification for the 3rd qualification level in Administration and Finance, completion of the Administrative Specialist Course II (BL II), or a university degree in Economics/Business Administration. Equivalent qualifications such as Certified Tax Advisor (Steuerberater) are also accepted.
Experience
- Professional experience in tax administration or financial management
- Leadership experience in managing a team (currently 5 staff members)
- Experience in handling tax creditor and debtor obligations
- Relevant experience in tax consultancy or public finance preferred

- The position is partially suitable for part-time work. Salary is based on A 12 BayBesG or E 12 TVöD. Location is Dachau, Germany (Munich metropolitan area).
