Job Summary

As a Tonic Engineer at DFT, you will play a pivotal role in automating sorter systems for international e-commerce and logistics clients. Your daily responsibilities involve the full lifecycle of the proprietary 'Tonic' software, which controls material flow in pouch sorter systems. This includes developing software logic, designing graphical user interfaces, and managing data exchange with SCADA systems. You will be responsible for analyzing technical issues, implementing software updates, and performing both remote and on-site testing and commissioning. Beyond development, you will provide customer support and conduct project-specific training for operators. This position is particularly attractive due to its blend of software development and hands-on commissioning, all within a stable company under the KNAPP AG umbrella. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, (Business) Informatics, or a comparable technical vocational training/further education.

Experience

  • Professional experience in software development or status as a motivated career starter
  • Experience in programming with C++ and C#
  • Experience working with SQL-based databases
  • Experience in software troubleshooting and problem analysis
  • Experience in conducting software tests and commissioning, either remote or on-site
