Job Summary

This role involves the development, integration, and continuous improvement of Vetronics systems on Linux-based platforms, specifically Debian. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing high-performance vehicle IT architectures and developing software for distributed embedded systems. A significant portion of the day-to-day work includes creating Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) using Qt and QML, as well as networking military subsystems via various communication interfaces like CAN-bus and IP-sockets. You will write robust, maintainable code, perform unit testing, and contribute to the definition of software and system architectures. This position is particularly attractive for those looking to work on complex technical systems in the defense or vehicle technology sector, offering a permanent contract, flexible working hours, and a performance-based salary secured by collective bargaining agreements.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in software development under Linux environments.
  • Proven experience in implementing graphical user interfaces with Qt and QML.
  • Professional experience in object-oriented design and UML.
  • Experience with hardware-level communication protocols and networking subsystems.
  • Experience in the defense or Vetronics industry is highly desirable.
