As the Managing Director for the newly merged Göttingen-Mitte parish, you will lead the professionalization of administrative operations across five church locations. This unique 'startup' role involves building and managing a centralized administration, developing unified processes, and overseeing the parish's financial budget. You will be responsible for optimizing a diverse real estate portfolio and leading a team of approximately ten employees. The position is ideal for a proactive professional who combines administrative expertise with an innovative spirit to shape the future of the church in an urban setting. Based in the heart of Göttingen, the role offers significant creative freedom, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to implement modern digital workflows within a traditional institution undergoing structural transformation.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Business Administration, Administrative Science, Church Management, or a comparable field; alternatively, a completed vocational training in administration (VFA 1) with relevant professional qualifications.

Experience

  • Professional experience in public or church administration
  • Proven experience in financial, real estate, and personnel management
  • Leadership experience managing teams of approximately ten staff members
  • Experience with digital transformation and modern administrative workflows
  • Experience in process establishment and organizational restructuring
