Job Summary

This high-level leadership position at the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) involves overseeing the 'Network and Security' department, managing approximately 25 employees across five specialized teams. You will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of the institute's IT infrastructure, including network modernization, virtualization, storage, and backup systems. A primary focus of the role is strengthening IT security and cyber resilience through the structured implementation of IT-Grundschutz (baseline protection) for both on-premise and cloud environments. You will coordinate departmental resources, manage key infrastructure projects, and collaborate closely with senior management to drive digital transformation and AI integration.
