As the Head of R&D for a leading medium-sized medical skincare manufacturer, you will hold overall responsibility for the research and development department. Your daily activities will involve strategically advising executive management on new product planning, developing innovative skincare formulations, and optimizing the existing EUBOS product portfolio. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle from laboratory development and pilot batches to full-scale bulk production and market launch. This role requires a blend of scientific expertise and leadership, as you will manage a team while collaborating cross-functionally with marketing and production. You will also design efficacy studies with external institutes and ensure all products meet strict regulatory standards like REACH and the Cosmetics Regulation. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Natural Sciences, Cosmetic Chemistry, or Engineering with a focus on Cosmetics and Detergent Technology.
Experience
- Several years of profound professional experience in product development within the cosmetics industry
- Demonstrated experience in professional and disciplinary leadership of teams
- Extensive experience in managing the transition from lab-scale development to bulk production
- Proven track record in navigating legal and regulatory requirements for skincare products
