Job Summary
As a Product Engineer for Cryogenic and Vacuum Systems at FormFactor, a leading manufacturer in the semiconductor industry, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, typically spanning one year. Your daily responsibilities include managing technical customer communications, driving new developments, and coordinating internal planning through to final customer acceptance. You will act as a bridge between engineering, production, and sales, providing technical support for marketing activities and expanding international networks within research and industry associations. The role is highly interdisciplinary, requiring you to combine deep technical expertise with a strong customer focus to deliver application-oriented solutions. This position is particularly attractive due to its blend of project management and hands-on engineering, offering flexible working hours, 30 days of vacation, and the opportunity to work at a 'Hidden Champion' facility near Dresden that supports global innovations in AI, 5G, and aerospace.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree (M.Sc.) or Diploma in Physics or a comparable technical field.
Experience
- Mandatory professional experience in vacuum and/or low-temperature (cryogenic) technology
- Experience in technical project management combining product knowledge with customer focus
- Previous experience in product management is highly desirable
- Minimum of 8 years related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Master’s degree, or 3 years with a PhD
- Experience in technical customer communication and international networking
