Job Summary
As a Tax Specialist at CHECK24 Services GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in managing and shaping the tax landscape for a leading digital comparison platform. Your daily responsibilities include preparing tax calculations, financial statements, and tax returns for domestic corporations, while serving as a key point of contact for internal departments and subsidiaries. A unique aspect of this role is the focus on digital transformation; you will actively identify optimization potential and automate internal tax processes using modern tools like ChatGPT and Cursor. Beyond routine compliance, you will support tax audits, contribute to the development of the Tax Compliance Management System (TAX CMS), and lead independent tax projects. This position offers a dynamic startup atmosphere with flat hierarchies, moving away from traditional law firm environments, and provides extensive benefits including a subsidized Deutschland-Ticket and regular free lunches.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed degree in Economics/Business Administration with a focus on Accounting/Taxation, or professional training/qualification as a Certified Tax Specialist (Steuerfachwirt).
Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience in corporate taxation, ideally within a tax firm or a corporate tax department
- Proven experience in preparing tax calculations and tax returns for corporations
- Experience in researching and analyzing complex tax issues across various tax law domains
- Experience in supporting or preparing for tax audits
- Experience in process optimization and digital tool implementation

- The position is available as a permanent full-time or part-time role (minimum 25 hours/week). Location is at the central Munich office (Donnersbergerbrücke) with mobile office options on Fridays.
