As a (Junior) Radio Network and Frequency Planning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the modernization of Germany's rail infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities involve the planning, optimization, and operation of GSM-R and FRMCS radio networks, which serve as the backbone for the digital rail rollout (ETCS) and automated train operations (ATO). You will conduct feasibility studies, capacity checks, and technical analyses while collaborating on diverse telecommunications projects. A significant portion of the role involves creating technical reports and updating regulatory guidelines. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Communications Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable technical field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the telecommunications sector
  • Practical knowledge of GSM-R radio networks
  • Experience in technical project collaboration and interface management
  • Experience in creating planning and measurement reports
  • Knowledge of railway operations is advantageous but not mandatory
