Job Summary
This role involves conducting advanced research at the FH Upper Austria Research & Development GmbH within the Josef Ressel Center for Material Development in Soft Tissue Regeneration. The successful candidate will focus on the cell culture and expansion of muscle cells, utilizing high-end imaging techniques such as Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Single-Molecule Fluorescence Microscopy to analyze nanobiological particles, specifically extracellular vesicles. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing image analysis and cross-correlation of microscopic data to characterize these vesicles, alongside statistical and mathematical evaluations to correlate single-particle analysis with high-throughput bulk methods. This position is particularly attractive for researchers interested in innovative biotechnological projects and offers a collaborative environment between academia and industry partners like the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute. The role is based in Linz and is offered as a part-time position (30 hours per week) with a fixed gross salary.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Biophysics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
Experience
- Professional experience in cell culture and expansion of muscle cells
- Experience in the application of imaging techniques such as AFM or fluorescence microscopy
- Experience in microscopic image analysis and data characterization
- Experience in statistical and mathematical data evaluation
- Knowledge of biochemistry and nanobiological particle analysis is advantageous
